My server is just a little kimsufi with apache. The pages still load and within 0.1 of a second (from home) and cpu load is less than 10% (linux server load 0.29). The same test ran on has no noticeable effect. At which point it was giving error 500 and continued to give error 500 for another 5 seconds after I stopped the test. Just 10/req/sec (new connections closed immediately after load). For apache2 on a server very much like yours it can do 2000/req/sec ( source) based on a 3KB image. In reality this number would be much lower as for the "members" at least most of it should be loading from cache. ![]() I sure know that apache wouldn't error like this under 10x the load and I know from experience Abyss isn't that bad that it should mess up.Īccording to stats you had just 12 users online on this website (host many more?).Įven if 12 people loaded your index page (with no cache) all within one second you would still be only hitting 360 requests/sec (most of which are for static images/css). Priority: Medium, I need this during my ICT exams, but can return to Abyss Web Server. ASP.NET: I create my own application, but wish to see more free / purchasable application in the near future. The server wasn't under any special load when I tried to visit so it must be some sort of configuration issue. PHP: MediaWiki (latest version), PHPBB3, WordPress. Hopefully you have a backup that was taken before this issue occurred, but I would also do another backup now (leaving the prior one intact) so that you can at least try the latest and see if all goes well before doing it all again and reverting to the older backup. We should work to fixing this. I think your only option, should it come to it, is to uninstall the system and then reinstall the application followed by restoring a backup. I know of no way to simply load the abyss module. You can try and adjust the account logon and try. I don't use abyss, but it looks like it may be having an issue with the logon and fails to start. Those that do not show to be running, see if you can manually start them and if an error occurs, see what that error is about. Go to the services section of the administrative tools and examine the 3CX services and abyss and see if all show running and automatic and if the status there correlates to what 3CX also shows. Stack trace: at ()Īnyone have any idea what the fix would be, or if I can install abyss from the 3cx install without wiping out the setting?Ĭheck to see what 3CX services show to be unregistered with 3CX. ![]() Based on my analysis the bug is not exploitable. Running it against affected version of Abyss Web Server it was possible to cause Denial of Service attack (the application crashed). ![]() recently I spent some time working on my HTTP fuzzer.
